A celebration of learning and research

The University of Oregon took time out on Friday, Oct. 26, to honor past achievement, celebrate the present and look forward to an exciting future.

The day started with the grand opening of the Lewis Integrative Science Building.  This outstanding facility brings world-class researchers together under one roof from a range of disciplines. UO biologists, chemists, psychologists, computer scientists and other researchers will be working alongside one another to tackle some of society’s most vexing challenges — from cellular processes to improving communities.

The excitement continued throughout the day with a Homecoming parade sponsored by the Associated Students of the University of Oregon, a Homecoming pep rally, the Multicultural Reunion and the 50th reunion of the class of ’62.
