• The University of Oregon’s has selected four finalists in the search for the next provost and senior vice president. The UO community is invited to meet the candidates.
• Members of the campus community are encouraged to nominate those who they believe would be strong candidates for the position.
• President Scholz calls on members of the campus community to reaffirm their commitment to decency, honesty, and empathy.
• The president also encourages all units to observe a “quiet period” between the December 25 and January 1 holidays, as operations allow.
• Interim Executive Vice Provost Karen Ford will serve as interim provost effective January 1.
• The forum for UO employees will be held at 4 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Living Learning Center Performance Hall.
• The president wants to gather as much feedback as possible this fall during the listening phase of UO Onward Strategic Engagement.
• Members of the search committee to hold a listening session and post a survey to gather thoughts on qualities sought in next permanent provost.
• The actions come from working group recommendations based on feedback from the campus-wide climate survey.
• Keese comes to the UO from the University of Virginia where she most recently served as associate vice president for marketing and brand strategy.
