As a public research university dedicated to discovery, instruction, and service to improve society, the University of Oregon is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment in which everyone knows they belong and can flourish.
The university measures employee engagement, a critical aspect of flourishing, using Gallup’s employee engagement model and aligning engagement metrics to Oregon Rising’s five domains of flourishing. Gallup’s Q12 framework distills engagement to 12 actionable elements that strongly correlate with outcomes such as productivity, retention, safety, and overall well-being.
In support of our employee engagement efforts, the university will conduct an employee engagement survey in winter, 2026, which will build on the results of our 2022 climate survey and subsequent climate workgroups.
