Sent from the Office of the President on behalf of Leslie Leve, the chair of the provost search committee:

January 18, 2024

Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

The deadline for applications in the university’s search for our permanent provost and senior vice president is fast approaching. I again invite you to nominate candidates for this important position.

Serving as the university’s chief academic officer, the provost plays an integral role in achieving the university’s mission. My fellow search committee members and I want to ensure we have a robust and diverse pool of candidates for the position.

Please consider sharing the position description posting among your networks and nominating those whom you believe would be strong candidates, regardless of whether you believe they are open to considering a new opportunity, by using this nomination form. All nominations and applications should be submitted to Parker Executive Search, which is assisting with the search, by January 29.

We hope to have finalists on campus for interviews in late February and to announce the next provost this spring with a target starting date of July 1.
More information about the search can be found on the Office of the President’s provost search webpage .

Thank you and we will continue to provide updates throughout the search process.

Sincerely,
Leslie Leve
Provost Search Committee Chair
