Invitation to students to fall term update virtual town hall

September 1, 2020

Dear University of Oregon students,

Last week I announced that the University of Oregon will provide mostly remote and online education, with access to campus facilities and services such as advising, libraries, the EMU, and student recreation center. For our incoming students we are creating an enhanced residential experience under strict health and safety protocols. While this term will be unlike any previous start to the academic year, we are no less excited and eager to welcome you back and—together—make this a great year at the UO.

I am sure you still have many questions, so we have put together a panel of faculty and staff experts for a Fall Term Virtual Town Hall to provide you with information and resources.

You and your family members are invited to join us on Thursday, September 3, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. You can watch the livestream on this web page. You may also submit questions ahead of time using this web form and ask questions during the event by emailing townhall@uoregon.edu. It will be recorded, so that those who cannot join the live event can watch it later.

As always, you can find the latest information and FAQs about the UO’s response to COVID-19 at coronavirus.uoregon.edu. If you have questions about the town hall, please send an email to townhall@uoregon.edu.

Take care of yourselves, be healthy, and we hope you can join us this Thursday.

Sincerely,

Michael H. Schill
President and Professor of Law
