Appointments for faculty and officers of administration are initiated at the unit level at the time of hire with support from the Office of the Provost (OtP). Appointments and ranks for non-bargaining unit members are covered by the UO policy on Academic Classification and Rank, and bargaining unit members are covered by Article 15 of the UA CBA.
